"Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with band in the furrow?? Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? "

Nilbog

Keywords:

Category: Races

Description:

Nilbogs are small wiry creatures, long hands and toes, they are very dexterous and cunning. They are good with mechanics and engineering. They create elaborate constructs even for the most basic of tasks. They live in squat hollow hills with many underground tunnels connecting the hills to each other. Nilbogs have a pack mentality, in that when one is in danger they are all in danger and will react. Often you will see 5 or 6 Nilbogss all swarming on the same project and working in unison.

Homeland:

Nilbogs are spread out over a wide range of territory. There are settlements dotted not far from major human establishments in hilly areas.

Society: Nilbogs live in groups based on their guild or specialty. Nilbogs are very inquizitive and are always tinkering with some mechanical construct or another. Guilds are lead by a guild leader who has proven to be the most skilled at working with materials in constructing objects.

History:

Nilbogs talk of their home land being beyond the skys.  It is said that the presence of Nilbogs in Denia was a surprise even to the Valhyre.  Mearus was able to sway the nilbogs into being his engineers and construction workers.  During the God wars nilbogs developed many deadly machines of war. The most powerful of which was Garthma, a huge machine that spit fire in every direction and stood taller than the highest tree. After the God Wars, nilbogs went into hiding and were not seen by the other races until well after they had been forgotten into legend. The first recent sighting of a nilbog came when wreckage of some sort was washed up on the beaches near Geia, several bodies of nilbogs were in the wreckage. Queen Bayla of Geia in an effort to promote peace granted the surviors safety.

So, i take it from the name that these things are goblinoid (nilbog-goblin... yea, I got it) but what benefits do they get? Humans can become immortal and gain awsome powers, Bastlur can fly, Jarg are resistant to damage and control the earth, Trogs control the elements and are berserkers. Both the Nilbogs and the Eldarin appear under structured in the sence that they're kind of bland and powerless compared to the others. Based on the Nilbogs specs, maybe the ability to construct machines or tools or even weapons, from everyday objects could be added or something. Just a thought.

    Hope it helps
